Frances Tophill will collaborate with Sir David Beckham and Alan Titchmarsh on the King’s Foundation Garden at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026.
Designed to spark joy and curiosity, The RHS and The King’s Foundation Curious Garden will be packed with take-home ideas, practical growing advice, and inspiration on how plants can boost the planet and support biodiversity.
This will be Frances’ first garden at the world’s famous flower show. The horticulturist, author and TV presenter said: ‘I’m thrilled to be working with everyone involved to bring my first Chelsea garden to life and really explore my own curiosity about plants and their vital role in bringing health to people and to the planet.’

Sir David, who has most recently worked with David Austin Roses on a new rose variety, will help inspire other new gardeners. The former footballer regularly shares his gardening updates on Instagram, including updates on his chickens, bee-keeping, and raised beds with green veggies.
‘My love for the countryside started when I was a child visiting my grandparents,’ says Sir David about his involvement in the feature garden at RHS Chelsea.
‘I’ve experienced how rewarding gardening can be and that’s why I’m looking forward to working with The RHS and The King’s Foundation on their Curious Garden at the 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. I hope we inspire people to get outside into nature and to try something new.’

Meanwhile, the garden will also invite apprentices and trainees from both The King’s Foundation and the RHS to be involved in the process.
Alan Titchmarsh, CBE, who is also an RHS and The King’s Foundation Ambassador, will encourage people to plant and propagate new varieties.
‘Aside from celebrating the real joy that gardening brings to our lives, we will be highlighting how simply growing more plants helps mitigate both the biodiversity and climate crises and, therefore, why gardeners, from enthusiastic new gardeners to incredibly skilled horticulturists, are more important today than ever,’ says Alan.
The full garden design will be revealed early next year. We can’t wait to see what’s in store.
