KANEOHE (HawaiiNewsNow) – Camping will be temporarily unavailable at Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden in Kaneohe until 2026.
The City is suspending recreational activities in the Windward Oahu garden for an extensive road repaving project, beginning Monday, Nov. 24.
Most activities are expected to resume by mid-December but camping will be restricted until early January.
The entire 2.4 mile stretch of the botanical garden’s main road will be repaved.
A full closure of the whole garden is expected Dec. 8-19.
