Hey friends! this is still my first run of plants so I'm still learning. I had a major catapillar/grasshopper/bug attack on my pac choy. I looked through the reddit and saw that a water bottle filled with water, a little dish soap, a little olive oil and some garlic was a good way to deter pests. I sprayed them a couple days ago and I dont really see any more damage. guess the question is, do I pull them and feed them to my pigs? or do you cut the outside damaged leaves and hope for new growth from the middle? the 2nd picture shows the center is growing pretty well except the leaves have some pointy bits on the edges unlike the bigger outside leaves. Any knowledge you can transfer to me would be appreciated, growing outside is a pain lol

also, the 4th pic is my romaine lettuce….i think its finally bolted after only one harvest T.T

I use food grade diatomaceous earth instead of spray, but I don’t cut it out. I just trim the leaves when I harvest the leaves if they are the edible portion of the plant. If it’s something where you don’t eat the leaves like strawberries , I just leave them as is. Just my preference though.
