Peppers! Poblanos, jalapenos, and sweet Italian are my go to. Usually pretty easy to start and will produce up until the first frost.
I also throw in marigolds and nasturtium to attract pollinators.
AWholeNewFattitude
The ones I had the most success with were dill parsley, rosemary, thyme, spring onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, kale, and peppercini peppers.

Not sure what youโre growing zone is, but I grow what is expensive in the grocery store.
Kale
Broccoli
Peppers
Strawberries
Shallots
Radicchio
Napa cabbage
Raspberries
hobokobo1028
Banana peppers, sweet peppers, jalepenos or hotter if you like heat.
Onions onions onions
If you want perennials: asparagus and strawberries share a box well, raspberries (their own box), blueberry bushes (acidic soil)
UOAdam
Green onions. They are the thing my wife and I lean on probably more than anything else.

Basil goes well with tomatoes and marigolds for pollinators and insect repellent.
DR_95_SuperBolDor
If you’re planting tomatoes you have to plant basil. They not only go great together in cooking, they help each other grow too.
cody_mf
Garlic is incredibly easy to grow and extremely low maitenance if you mulch it properly, i started growing garlic two years ago, saving my biggest cloves for replanting and now all my garlic is monster sized
Fool_In_Flow
The herbs that go with tomato, like oregano and rosemary.
AudioOddity
Companion planting would be basil, onions, lettuce, peppers and then marigolds for pest management
AcanthisittaNo6653
Peppers and Zinnias!

Go vertical on the north side of it! it’ll increase production without taking much space at all. vining plants.

Green beans, broccoli, basil, cherry tomatoes!!
whywhywhy4321
Peppers, tomatoes, herbs (basil and Thai basil especially), green beans, cucumbers, Swiss chard, radishes and romaine produced like crazy for us this year. Weโre on our first year in a new location.
mcniffty
I always like perennial sections. Asparagus, chives, thyme, rosemary, walking onion, strawberries, etc.
Pamuella
Baby cucumbers and carrots, radishes too!
realwavyjones
Chilis cilantro and onions. At the end you get salsa

If youโre a fan of Greek salad, plant some cukes! Easy and you will get a lot of them! Put some marigolds around the edges too! Pretty, and a good bug deterrent.
reallyreally1945
Nasturtiums are good pest control and would look gorgeous trailing over your raised bed. Cabbages look great in a home bed. (And nasturtiums repel cabbage worms.) Peppers look nice. Grow varieties you like to eat. Carrots.
Large_Oven5890
You will have a lot of tomatoes if you plant the whole thing. I would put just 3 regular tomatoes ๐ plus 2 cherry tomatoes and 3 jalapeรฑo plants

Don’t want the bugs to go for your plants? Or you don’t want to use pesticides? Plant spinach. Don’t plan on actually eating it. ๐ The bugs go for it since it’s a high nutrient plant and they’ll mostly ignore the rest.

just fyi probably not the best environment for tomatoes if thats potting soil. ย you want the soil a bit lean. ย nitrogen surplus and they’ll grow like they will take over the world but won’t set fruit well
InvestingGatorGirl
Some of the suggestions here will leech nutrients your tomatoes ๐ desperately need, or attract the wrong insects to your plants. Look up companion planting. Basil is one that goes well with Tomatoes. Root vegetables are usually not a good idea.
Opening_City_5674
Peppers, different types of basil and cilantro tho you have to succession seed as they bolt quickly. If you like radishes they grow quickly and there are lots of types. Fun for kids to plant because they grow so fast.
JuniorCoura
Tomatoes, peppers, kale. Chives, parsley, okra.
Put some trellis and grow cucumbers, squash, etc.
I’d also get some fruit trees such and mulberry or any type of citrus and plant on the ground since you seem to have some empty space

Not sure how people feel about this, but I have good success with putting in sunflowers. They attract pollinators and usually grow big strong stems. I’ve had tomatoes use them as anchors. And they usually grow faster than other plants. One year my sunflower acted as a shield against a random hail storm. It took them a month to recover but my tomatoes and peppers were safe .
I also love to plant Borage. I love the color it brings, the bees love it. People say you can eat it and I’ve tried but never really enjoyed it. Again it blooms before the others so pollinators are all over the place once my tomatoes and peppers bloom.

Zucchini is very productive and low maintenance. I planted a couple and harvested from summer to fall. No need to buy them at the grocery store anymore.

Carrots – very easy to start from seed and easy to grow. Also don’t take up a ton of space.

depends what you like. Grow your favourites! Winter veg now I guess but Potatoes, onions, carrots, beetroot, rhubarb are all quite easy.
