1, 2: Argyroderma fissum, a week after repotting

3, 4: aloinopsis schooneesii, 1 yr old, mid repot ‘mirin of dem chunky roots

5, 6: faucaria felina with flower buds forming! Excited to get seeds from these guys 🤞🏻

7, 8: various faucaria species… how many seed pods can you count in the last pic? I think I counted 17 🤔🤔🤔 with 5-6 more flowers on the way!

Nice mesembs collection! Those A.schooneesii, Mestoklema and some of the Sphalmanthus are only caudex mesembs I’m aware of.

These look so nice! I have always had a fondness for the look of A. schooneesii. I am intently watching my new ones grow and I look forward to how they will look in a years time:

Ignore the stray T. calcarea that I got in there (and the wild Yucca filamentosa seedling (somehow the seed survived sterilizing soil that I reused in the oven)). I do worry about the crowding, but I’m reluctant to repot them at so young an age.

Your Faucaria species look extremely nice! The F. felina have such nice markings, color and teeth. Another genus I need to expand on.

Assuming you pollinated every flower, I think I see 18 possible seed pods.

This autumn has gone by so fast, and I think its because I have been fawning over all the little seedlings. I think I’m even less stressed, even though I attend to them every day…

I hope you have some fun little seedlings! Thank you for sharing.

Your faucaria have such cute pink teeth. Mine used to have pink teeth but they are white now. How do you keep the teeth pink?
