We shop at village markets in rural Thailand all the time especially for produce so I want to show you what it’s like
Be sure to bring cash when shopping at a market like this and prepare to have your senses fully engaged by smells, sights and sounds
You’ll find excellent prices and varieties of fresh fruit and produce but you’ll notice our markets also sell prepared food, sweets, meat, clothing, and even gardening supplies, they literally have it all
This market is on temple grounds, alongside a school and it runs weekly. Definitely stop by a village market anywhere in Thailand when you visit the rural provinces. It’s a great experience to have as a visitor or even as a long time resident like myself

We’re on the temple grounds here at this village market. We’re going to show you exactly what it’s like here in Tamay when you’re shopping for produce. Smell is crazy because there’s like so many different things. There’s like chicken, big big squid. Definitely bring cash if you’re going to a village market because the older people they they don’t deal with the scanned payments very well. Cucumber. All right, big donkey. This is a really traditional shop with banana leaves covering the table. They even sell durian plants. Cool. Grow your own kind of deal. Check it out, man. Really cool. This is the school behind me. Beef, pork, frog, tooth. We even have these frogs. These desserts are five bucks.
