What type of plant is this, and why do those grippers look so freaky? (This plant was a cutting given to me.)

This is a pothos and those grippers are new roots! These guys are super easy to propagate because of this!

Typical Pothos! I have so many of these guys!

*Epipremnun aureum*, often known as “Golden pothos” although it isn’t true *Pothos*.

    Pothos of the golden variety

Like the others have said, this is a pothos.

If I were you though, I would move it away from the wall because those little aerial roots can and will totally anchor themselves to the wall.

I think they might also climb on your walls if they can, and they can destroy walls because of it. So it’s definitely a good idea to keep an eye on them. Also, they’re considered invasive in a lot of places.

Many people have already guessed it, it’s Pothos

Thanks all. Now I need to figure out what to do with it.

Don’t throw them away, they are great plants for the house.
Hang it up or make a rod for it to climb

They are either air roots or climbing roots.
