No downsides that I can think of. The rope touching the mossy stick is very weird though. Is that intentional? I’d think that would just wick water out of the jar and the whole rope would end up wet?

I feel like it’s nice, but would be covered in algae in about a month.

Maybe the top end of the rope is treated with something so it doesn’t absorb moisture? That’s the only way I could see this working without the whole rope getting wet and icky
