    We had a tree in our backyard in San Diego and our lab would pull them off lower hanging branches and eat them. If I remember correctly, they’re a little like pears?

    My daughter and I make loquat jam every year. There’s a good recipe out there, top of the results page. Her blog is called Hilda’s something or another.

    They’re a delicious fruit but so perishable. It’s a shame they’re not a little more hardy because they come in like gang busters here in LA with zero attention

    Wow.. so good!! I came across loquats only a few years ago and became a fan of the fruit..

    It also means that you do not have squirrels in your backyard.. lucky you!!😃
