I picked this up earlier in the fall. It’s labeled an E ‘Gothika.’ It’s very pretty, but I cannot find anything about the provenance of a ‘Gothika’ hybrid. It looks very much like somewhere between a Black Knight (affinis) and a Black Prince. Is anyone familiar with this?

Others have posted it online, I’m not sure but it does remind me of black night

I do not really see any differences to Echeveria affinis so I think it is most likely just another different marketing name to sell an old plant as something new. Just like the naming of Echeveria Black Knight.

The flowers will give you a better answer. It may well be another hybrid with affinis as one parent (like Preta, for example, which looks very similar but has very different flowers). Or it could just be a different clone of the affinis species with wider leaves.

Looks to be in the rubin subset of echavarias, super slow growing, and props have a super low chance too so they tend to be pricier
