St Mary’s Pleasance Garden in the centre of the town was used as a Garden of Remembrance in the lead-up to Armistice Day.
Small wooden crosses with a poppy were planted by visitors to commemorate loved ones who served their country in the armed services or other capacities.
Poppyscotland provided the crosses and a collection tin/card reader/QR code to allow people to make a donation.
Now, it has been confirmed that the Garden of Remembrance will remain in place “until at least Christmas and beyond”.
