I’ve recently begun putting some free time into my sad little pacific chorus frogs tank, he’s lived in it for almost a year now and it hasn’t changed much in that time. The tank is rather large (23 3/4 long, 13 1/2 wide 15 1/2 deep) for just him and I’ve had a very hard time trying to keep plants alive in it due to the fact that the lid I made for it ages ago is just wood with some window mesh for ventilation so humidity drops fast and consistently gets bone dry between misting.
I made a proper lid out of acrylic but I’m at a loss for how much ventilation to put into the lid so I was hoping someone here could give me some advice.
First picture is current lid, second is the new one, third one would be how I want to melt or drill the holes into the acrylic, in total it would be 64 holes a inch and a half in all the way around on the lid my original plan for the size of the holes is 5/16ths would that be too big? Should they be bigger, smaller, appreciate any feedback.
