Went out to collect some seeds the other day and it seems some of them are germinating already in their pod. Thought they needed a stratification period. I tried to pick out the noticeable ones and stick them in the ground.
Haven't been doing this very long but I've never seen this before, have you?

Stratification? Ain’t nobody got time for that
I’ve also seen butterflyweed bloom in its first year. Sometimes plants behave in mysterious ways
*Asclepias tuberosa* doesn’t fuck around. i’ve seen that shit germinate from inside the pod with roots creeping out of the “seal”.
I LOVE how much butterfly weed seeds want to sprout, to live, to grow. Inspirational honestly!
