Miami’s holiday season is shining brighter than ever. NightGarden at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, the city’s most enchanting winter tradition, has returned transforming 83 acres of lush tropical landscape into a glowing wonderland of art, light, and imagination.
Now celebrating its seventh year, NightGarden continues to redefine Miami’s winter magic, blending nature, technology, and creativity to deliver a one-of-a-kind holiday experience for guests of all ages.
“NightGarden has become part of Miami’s holiday tradition,” said Nannette Zapata, deputy director of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. “It’s Miami’s most beautiful winter tradition, a place where nature, art, and imagination meet to create a world that feels both timeless and new. Every season brings new surprises, but the magic is always the same, friends and families sharing time together and stepping in a place that feels magical and extraordinary.”
What’s new this year
This season’s edition of NightGarden introduces an expanded creative footprint with more than 800 new lighting fixtures, refreshed fairy encounters, and all-new installations designed to delight returning fans and first-time visitors alike.
The Welcoming Tree – This towering neon landmark greets guests with responsive light sequences activated by touch, setting the tone for an evening of interactivity and play.
Pixie’s Detour – A whimsical alternate pathway with playful projections, interactive triggers, and hidden surprises for those who wander off the main trail.
Secret Garden Laser Show – The hidden grove is where synchronized lasers, lights, and soundscapes converge for a high-energy spectacle.
Canopy Walk – A tranquil, sensory-free passage offering a moment of calm before guests rejoin the magic.
Neon Roots (Upper Rainforest) – The rainforest zone reimagined with glowing, root-inspired lighting and laser effects that transform the canopy into a living artwork.
Tree of Life – This monumental new centerpiece is activated by guest touch, glowing with light and projection to bring the tree to life.
Immersive Domes – Sculptural conservatory-style environments that act as fairy sanctuaries and photo-worthy vignettes.
Revitalized Fairy Quest – The beloved fairies return with new lighting, soundscapes, and locations, ensuring a fresh experience even for returning guests.
Movie Nights at the Garden – On select evenings, guests can settle in under the stars with blankets and cocoa as the garden’s lights set the scene for classic holiday films.
This year also brings a forest-inspired retail collaboration with Bubble Pops, the Orlando-based collectibles brand, which will present an imaginative installation inspired by the whimsical world of Labubu and the Monster Series. The limited-time experience will feature rare and hard-to-find PopMart Labubu merchandise, hidden giveaway surprises, and themed displays that complement the garden’s storytelling atmosphere. Designed as an added layer of discovery, it offers guests a unique way to explore, play, and shop within the NightGarden environment.
A seasonal celebration like no other
Since its debut in 2018, NightGarden has become one of Miami’s most beloved seasonal attractions, drawing families, couples, and visitors from around the world. Guests can interact with Archie the Talking Tree, dance under the stars during half-hourly dance parties, and revel in the magic of illuminated pathways, giant dandelions, and winter “snowfalls.”
Visitors also can enjoy food and beverages from popular Miami food trucks, specialty cocktails, and family-friendly treats. Returning highlights include the Winter Twinkle Zone, a snowy dreamscape with sparkling blue lights and musical snowfall, and the Orchid Bridge, leading to a world of nocturnal color and sound.
