Trebah Garden Wins Big in Truro

Trebah Garden has taken the top spot in the Large Visitor Attraction category at the 24th Cornwall Tourism Awards, held at Truro Cathedral on Thursday 13th November 2025.

The awards brought together nominees from across Cornwall, all recognised as standouts within the tourism sector. A gold win places Trebah among the county’s leading attractions and highlights its commitment to offering a high quality experience for visitors.

Strong Competition in a Packed Category

This year’s category was tightly contested. Camel Creek Family Adventure Park and Lappa Valley shared bronze, while silver went to National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

Trebah last entered in 2022, when it took silver. Since then the garden has seen significant change, including the arrival of a new CEO, Jon Cummins, who has led two years of growth and investment.

‘A Major Achievement’ for the Team

Trebah CEO Jon Cummins said:
“Winning gold is a major achievement for Trebah. This award is fantastic recognition for the hard work, passion and care of our dedicated team of staff, volunteers and trustees. I would also like to thank our members, visitors and supporters – this award and our work as a garden charity would not be possible without their support and goodwill. Looking ahead to 2026, we are busy planning work to further improve the garden and access to make this great Cornish garden better still.”

Jon added: “Congratulations must also go to the silver and bronze award winners in our category who are good industry friends as well as competitors.”

What’s Next for Trebah

Trebah, which is open daily throughout the year, has continued to develop as a cultural and community space, hosting events, exhibitions and working with local schools and families.

Its next major event will be Stories With Santa, offering families the chance to enjoy a festive story in a log cabin, write to Santa and receive a gift.
