As part of its garden waste permit scheme, the local authority empties brown bins every four weeks between March and November, and by request from December to February.
Residents who have paid for a permit and would like their bin collected in December, January and February should book in their collections using the council’s online portal or by calling 0300 123 0900.
One booking covers all collections during the winter months, and normal scheduled collections will commence from Monday, March 2.
