From white to pink to deep red in one day. What's even more amazing is its parent plant's flower is single-petaled and doesn’t change color at all (last pic).

According to botany… Imo… It’s because of the perianth on the flower and it’s inflorescence… The parent flower may also be multipollinated so basically it’s cuz of a property of corolla or the insemination type of flower which is hypogyny/perigyny

Wow, that’s mesmerizing! 🌺 Watching your hibiscus transition from white to deep red in a single day is like seeing time painted in petals, nature’s own magic at work!

The first few pictures, the one of the color changing flower, are Hibiscus mutabilis, which is also called a Confederate Rose. It’s known for doing exactly as it has done here; opening as white or very pale pink and darkening by throughout the day. They are stunning and the plants/trees can reach as tall as 15ft high and like 10ft wide.

    Yours is so beautiful!
