Tucked into a lush corner plot bordered by a three-sided green belt, this residence is a poetic ode to classical architecture and modern indulgence. Regal columns, intricate cornices, and timeless moldings define its elevation, offering a stately welcome. Expansive openings blur the line between indoors and the verdant outdoors, bathing every space in natural light.

At its heart lies a tranquil courtyard, a skylit sanctuary adorned with a majestic tree, flowing water features, and sculptural accents. This serene core becomes the soul of the home, connecting spaces with grace and calm. The interiors are crafted in a singular, elegant palette that draws attention to the home’s vast width and length, while maintaining an intimate sense of privacy.

Two master bedrooms spill out into private landscaped lounges, while entertainment and rejuvenation come alive in the plush basement equipped with a theater, gym, spa, jacuzzi, and a vibrant party zone. For grander gatherings, the terrace transforms into an open-air celebration space under the stars.

Thoughtfully designed, luxuriously appointed, and rooted in classical charm, this home is a refined lifestyle experience woven into nature’s quiet rhythm.

[Music] [Birds chirping] [Ar. Rajkumar]: Personally, for me,
luxury means, architectural spaces that
brings peace to our heart. That’s luxury. And, with things that dominate us, or even the materials that
overpower the space, we might feel that they are disturbing our day to day life. Thus, according to me,
peace is luxury. [Water gurgling] Any person who comes here will agree that this house transmits peace as a temple or an ashram. [Music starts] [THE GRAND COLANNADE] Hello, I am Rajkumar Kumawat,
from Rajkumar Architects. And, today we are
going to talk about my recently finished project,
‘The Grand Colonnade’. For detailed chapters and PDF eBook, you can visit buildofy.com. This link is here in the description. The project is located at Pratap
Nagar, in the south of Jaipur. It’s in a perfect rectangular plot, a linear plot of 65 x 125 ft. The built up area is
around 12,400 sq. ft. This is our ground floor plan. From here, we have
a pedestrian entry. And, we have kept the parking entry
on the Northwest side. There is a front
landscape area there. We have provided a
deck along with it. – [Ar. Abhishek]: We intended to introduce
different experiences between one door to the other. So, this is a water body
at the entrance. The design of this waterbody
is inspired by the by a small part of the pillars
seen in South Indian temples. We have provided
an east entry here. When we enter from
the east entrance, we have a courtyard. We are standing in the
internal courtyard. This is the most beautiful
part of the house. Here, we have made a
full height wall with Shreesuktha engraved on it. Apart from that, a sculpture
had to be made here. So we told artist Nikhil ji that, we want a sculpture
representing Lakshmi ji. [Nikhil Bhandari]: We wanted an Indian form, and we wanted
something divine. But, we didn’t want to
go for a deity. So that’s why we have
added wines and given the beautiful feel
of mother nature. Here, we have a
beautiful pooja room. And this is our complete
entrance lobby. Now, in this rear area, we have a drawing room
planned here. [Ar. Avni Jain]: On this wall just
in front of the entrance, we have designed a carving, which is inspired by
gothic cathedral windows. And with this,
we have a living and dining. We are currently standing in
the common area of the house, the living and dining area. We have installed the
columns here. We have made these 25 feet
high columns in the elevation. These columns are classical, but we also wanted to give
an Indian touch to everything. So, the cornice you see above, you will see it here for the first time. We have given that cornice
an Indian touch to them. Here are the stairs. This is the whole staircase with a screen seperating them
from the living and dining. This adds privacy, while climbing
and descending the stairs, yet being connected. Now we come to
the first floor. This entire area here, is completely circumscribed with glass
over the double-height volume. A lounge had to be
created on the first floor. And, at the back side,
we made the master bedroom, in the southwest corner. The master bedroom has a suite room. I have made a kids’
room in the front. And we have created beautiful
niches in organic shapes. And here is another daughter’s room for one of his daughters. This daughter’s room has a toilet,
a closet and a study area. As we climb up to the second floor, we have designed a
party area on this floor. There’s a bar cabinet, which you can see behind me. This is a concealed bar cabinet, that comes out with a remote. And, next to it is a
lounge-type seating area. A big TV is installed. If we look at the background, a nice fabric mural has been made. Apart from this party area, there is an exterior
terrace on this floor. And there is a master bedroom here. We left the southwest portion and decided to place the
basement to the front. Again, we have a party area
in the basement. and a play area as well. Apart from this lounge
and play area, there is a very big
Jacuzzi with gym. [Dheerendra Shrivastav]: It has multiple jets which relax the body. And, it is temperature controlled. We have some water elements to compliment this aesthetic. [Ar. Rajkumar]: And this is the complete
material palette of this house. We have finished this home
with these limited materials. This is a sample of full body tile. We have made complete flooring with this tile, along with all the mouldings
and wall panellings. And, these are outdoor tiles. This is Gwalior Mint stone, in which we have done all the
mouldings and columns. And, this is the fabric used
for all the curtains. This is a sample of the Pupa paint, with which we painted everything. People did not believe
that such a home can be made without Italian marble or any luxurious materials. [Ritika Sharma]: The daily life is very
easy going here. Even when the house
was being made, it seemed that perhaps we would have to
spend a lot of money here for maintenance and everything else. Because, there are water bodies, jaccuzi, and a lot of outdoor furniture. Therefore, everyone had a
doubt of maintenance. But, touch wood, there is
nothing of that sort. It is very easy going, and there is so much peace and it’s such a good feeling living here. [Music fades]

  1. the concrete in this house is not "peaceful". It drives soil/riparian erosion and sand/water depletion and contains carcinogenic silicates. Should have gotten an architect who knows how to build using stone and limestone binder

  2. For some reason, The house, The Architect, The client, everyone is aligned with similar positive energy.

After a very long time, I liked something listed here. It's a visually pacifying treat. Thank you for sharing it here.

  3. This is the most beautiful indian modern home I have ever seen seen. Better than Antilla.

  4. कितना पैसा है लोगों के पास 🤔🤔
    5 नौकर तो हमेशा चाहिए

  5. The color shade combinations, elevation and the mantras on wall were indeed well planned & executed. A bigger plot would have done more justice for this design though.

  6. Mam acha nahi superb acha feel hota hoga Hume dekh kar itna acha laga ki unexplainable. Wish you best of luck agar aur bi vedio share kar sakte ho tu please share
