Nicer than Paris Dear viewers, imagine that one morning you set off on a journey with intention to visit three hundred rural tourist households all over our country, continuously. In each of them, you just talk to the hosts with a cafe and take a look at the divine landscapes that are presented in front of you. What do you think, how much time would you need? Why exactly that magical number three hundred? The show “Nicer than Paris” reached three hundred episodes of broadcast on channels Agro TV and Balkan trip. For presenting rural tourist offer, we needed almost six years of travel and work. Although, as we can say in our shows, when you are asked to present someone rural tourist offer, it is a great pleasure. Passing main and local interchanges through our country, you probably asked yourself, what is behind the hill, mountain or valley that you are passing through? What kind of view, landscape, look is hiding somewhere in the distance? Did you think, when we would have time to take off the road and visit all that. We, while making this show, just experienced and realised how many millions of views and natural beauties and richness that our country has. Let’s try to share that with you. According to one of the key characteristics of rural tourism, according to the view that is offered, some households got a name, like for example, Ranch Eco view from the vicinity of Pozega or Irina’s viewpoint. Perfect view can be offered from the terrace of accommodation where you are staying. For some of them, it is necessary to walk a lot to experience it, but, in any case, their value is permanent, because they remain in our memory until the end of our life. That’s why in today’s episode we will return to some of the views, by choosing the most beautiful ten that we visited in previous 299 episodes. Before we start with the views from which the breath stops, I would like to remind you that the choice that follows is understood only as a subjective attitude of the show that works on the show, as well as that the views that are offered from all households and their surroundings are something unique and unrepeatable and that you have already done a lot for yourself, by visiting them and experiencing them. Place number ten On the place number ten of the most beautiful views is one of the numerous views of the mountain Rudnik on which host Bosko took us, from rural tourist household Cuvarkuca, from mountain Rudnik. Bosko, what a beauty is this! Guys, this is archaeological site of Prljusa. It is specific in the fact that the ore was mined here, 4,000 years ago and it is still extracted nowadays. As far as the view is concerned, the view is fascinating, as you can see. You can see Ovcar Kablar, our mountain Vujan. On my left is Gruza’s lake and Kragujevac. On my right side are mountains Maljen Divcibare, Rajac. So, you have a forest on your the palm of your hand. A good part of western Serbia, too. – Yes. This is the largest locality of south – eastern Europe, when it comes to mining of coals. I can say that I and my society and my family marked the path from our yard to archaeological site. So, even inexperienced climbers can freely come here. They won’t get lost, because everything is marked nicely. What are their comments? First comment of our guests is that it is hard. It is the truth. Second is that everyone is delighted with the view and the physical activity. When we come here, we can see that we have reached the top. It is worth every step. – Yes, it is worth every step. Most importantly, many people come back and come here, again and again. Place number nine The ninth place of the most beautiful views are divided by two views from south and south east of Serbia. Viewpoint Pasarelo, on the Dry (Suva) mountain, which we visited thanks to hosts of Zaplansko fireplace station and new view point Smilovica, on the Old mountain, on which host Misel brought us from Germany legacy. We reached the top of the view point Pasarelo, which looks directly on the porch. – That’s right. What is this magical place? This is one of the most attractive view points, from where you can see whole Horseshoe of Suva (Dry) mountain. Trem is the most attractive for mountaineers. All mountaineers have heard about Trem, but, the minority of people who came to this view point and these beautiful places. So, this is an opportunity for your episode to bring this beauty closer to lovers of nature. Because of this view point, it was worth to spend every second of the trip. Right now, we are on the viewpoint Smilovica. It is located three kilometres from village Pokrevenik and at 1000 metres above sea level. We have honour to have with us the most deserving man for this beautiful viewpoint. – This is mister Slavko. Good afternoon, Slavko! – Good afternoon! By the way, you are the inhabitant of village Pokrevenik. I was born here, I live here. I am the president of local community for last seven or eight years. On my initiative, in cooperation with local self government and tourist organisation from the city of Pirot, viewpoint Smilovica was formed, where we are now. In front of us is a view of million, pardon, billion of dollars. What can you see in the surroundings? You have an opportunity to see it by yourself. Believe me, we have beautiful view of Zavoljsko lake, on Stara mountain. We have beautiful view of mountains Midzor and Babin zub (Grandma’s tooth). Behind you, on my left side, there is Suva mountain, the city of Bela Palanka, canyon of Sicevac gorge. In this direction, we have view of canyon of river Jerma. Let’s introduce sculptor of bear, too! The creator of this figure is Dusan Zivkovic, he is from village Crvencevo near the city of Pirot. Let’s go around this beautiful place. – All right. Some contents are organised here. Is viewpoint accessible for cyclists? In cooperation with tourist organisation, all that you see here is formed. It is so beautiful for stay of hikers, mountaineers, cyclists, especially when weather is nice, then it is full here. Now, let’s take a look at viewpoint Smilovica. Here is really viewpoint that will stay in your memory until the end of your life. – Yes. Now, you can have an opportunity not to pay anything. – When it is like that… Place number eight For place number eight of the most beautiful views of rural tourism, you don’t have to climb on the big heights of the mountains. It is enough just to go to the crossing of Danube, with host Jova Kocmanovic from villa Peristeron. People, welcome to Golubac, we are on the small boat. My tourist tour is made in a way that guest of Golubac will get to know the identity of this area in the most interesting way possible. In the boat, during sailing on river Danube. So, we board in Golubac, we sail upstream. The tour can last one or two hours in agreement with guests. Historians were trying to dig up the truth. You will hear something about it on the tour. Host, Jova, we are just entering to the gorge. It is unique experience. Let’s enjoy it together! Place number seven Seventh place of our special and throne of the most popular tourist destination of Serbia. It became part of mountain Zlatibor, with its great part because of view of its natural beauties, that you can find anywhere on any hill. There are a lot of them. Hosts of small village Bojanovic, took us to Zlatibor’s top Gradina and impressed by the view, we immediately asked them. What can you see in the surroundings? – Now, we are on viewpoint Gradina. Here, in front of us, on this side are Zlatibor’s peaks, mountains Tornik, Cigota, behind is Brijac. Those are three biggest peaks of mountain Zlatibor. Here, behind us, we have Black peak and this is Gradina. On this side, we have mountain Tara. This wreath over here. Down here, on this side are mountains Ovcar and Kablar. I know that your daughter often participates as a guide in such tours. So, tell us, Nikolija, how does one usual picnic with guests look like up to these points? They sit there, look with binocular, I show and explain them where is everything. We take a rest a little bit and then we go to the real top of Gradina and then we come back home. Place number six On the middle of scale is place six of top list, the choice fell on already world famous most beautiful views that are provided from Tara mountain. We separated the viewpoint of Sokolarica, for whose tour was in charge hostess Ivana, from apartments Zaric, and unsurpassed viewpoint of Banjska Stena (Banjska rock), that we experienced with hosts Bastovanovic from log cabin “Valley of firs”. For the reason, that it is one of the three most beautiful viewpoints in the world. – That’s right! Viewers, this is proof for you. You can see it from the beginning. It can’t be described with words. You have to experience it. – That’s right, you should experience that. If guests are looking for photo or video, tell them that they can’t get it, because they have to come here in real life. They have to come here and see all this. Banjska Rock is the most popular, but, here are other viewpoints and you don’t know which one is more beautiful. Yes, there are three more viewpoints up there. Two can be visited, third one is a little bit further. In general, there are a lot of unknown viewpoints that are not as popular as Banjska Rock, but, definitely, this is one of the most beautiful and visited in this part of Tara. These pine trees almost come as a natural frame for this divine picture. You have to experience it every year. Everything has something special. Of course, you can’t come here without… Taking a selfie. Yes! Of course! Let’s make one for memory of recording a show. Come on, smile! Let’s go to the first part of Sokolarica viewpoint. Area of Sokolina belongs to the part of the surface of Tara national park. The way to the first viewpoint through this conifer forest is magical. Then, something happens. – A magic! Exactly. I’m speechless. Perfect! What a landscape! Like a painting, a masterpiece of nature. – There is no city here. As you can see, the air is clean. Nature is beautiful. Do you hear that? This is the canyon of river Raca. – Really? Yesterday, it rained a lot and now, this water came. You can even see from here, how water flows. Down there, they say there are a lot of bears. We don’t know that yet. I was recently on this viewpoint. I was leading a group. They were taking pictures of chamois, exactly on this other side. – Really? Yes. Down there is the most important sanctuary of this area. Monastery of Raca. That’s right! It is surrounded by nature and river Raca. – Yes, thanks God. We have a lot of tourists, who visit Monastery of Raca. Down there, you can organise a tour. You can go to the canyon. There are people, who lead the tour. You can get to Monastery of Raca. You can see, how beautiful colours of autumn are. We are on the second point of Viewpoint Sokolarica. We are coming to the highest peak where the view is the best. Let’s go to the main point. – Let’s go! We are on the top of the world. This is the first position of this viewpoint Sokolarica. It is a little bit unsecured. I don’t recommend everyone to come here. But, it is worth to come and visit. This place is Sokolinovo settlement. This viewpoint is really great. You have to experience this feeling. Breathe life, fill your lungs. Let’s inhale and drink this divinity. As if we came between gods to Olympus. Literally. Place number five On the fifth place, viewpoint of southwest Serbia, which was celebrated by famous Monika Beluci. Also, the place where probably the oldest tree of Serbia was planted, four centuries ago. Viewpoint Kamene gore (Stone valleys) where the breath stops. Sometimes, when Serbia send to space, the most impressive photos that could describe it, one of them could be this viewpoint. Viewpoint from Stone valley, of Saint pine and its surroundings, is really immaterial treasure of our country. Your camp and household are based directly on this hill. Yes, Simo’s camp. Yes, Saint pine is first of all nature shrine. Tell us something about its history, tradition and significance. When they say Saint pine it is really Holy pine in reality, because we don’t have oak here. In Serbia, oak is a protected tree. So, inhabitants of Stone valley were forced to have Holy pine, because ten years ago, Stone valley got church for the first time. I remember what grandpa said, that in the past, all the church rituals, litia were held here, under the old pine tree. How old is it, actually? They were doing research for over 530 years, so it is more than a millennium. To tell people how old it is, when you multiply it by the number of days per year, it is about 200,000 days that pine is old. If it had a memory card, it would have a lot to tell us. It also has geography. It is a great reason for a small orientation course in the area. What can you see from here? We are in a very nice place. From here you can see mountains Zlatar, Zlatibor, Ljubisnja, Jadovnik. Frontally, behind us, you can see Mileseva monastery. It is located under those big stones. On this side, you can see snow covered mountain Hajla, between the cities of Kosovska Mitrovica and Novi Pazar. On the right side, it looks like a cloud. It is Komovi, mountains Bjelasica, Durmitor. When you go to the highest peak of Stone valley (Kamena Gora), which is about 1,496 metres high, you can see complete massif of Durmitor. Place number four I believe that excitement is growing, because we are coming to the upper part of our top list, where on the fourth place, we found views on meanders of the Uvac river canyon that we experienced and presented only for you, thanks to hosts of Paradise on Uvac river which is located on one side and Marko’s cottages, on the other side of canyon. We don’t know which one is more beautiful, so, that we don’t want to curse them. Now, “cherry” as a whipped cream on a cake. Famous viewpoint “Prayer”, which is a measurable unit of beauty of nature. – Exactly! Place for which everyone comes in our paradise and in our area. That is crown of our area, viewpoint of prayer. – I am speechless. Let me recover a bit after this beauty. You have to look at it a little bit, to enjoy the view. After that, impression is complete. Prayer, how do you experience the name of this viewpoint? As a prayer for nature or for us? – Well… I think for us. We pray for nature that created all of this. That gave us this, that we have it, right here in our area. This is paradise for eyes. For soul too. – Yes. Yes. – Rama, how does this look to you? Do you get excited every time you come here? Beautiful! Find some girlfriend and bring her here. Girls are in love, yes. – You’ll get her right away. What are the impressions to your guests when you bring them here? People come, look at them and start to tremble with happiness. It is unbelievable. – Children’s joy. Children’s joy, yes. – Yes. I know for some people, like griffon vulture, that came here and stayed here. Yes, griffon vulture. – They are not naive. They came and stayed, they never wanted to go back. – What they say? There is nothing better than this. – Yes. Let’s go to conquer the great peak. Let’s go! Because of moments like this, it is worth to live. These are moments that are remembered. What an incredible view! – I think that you are satisfied. This cannot be described with words. I think that even the camera cannot present this event until the very end. Still, eyes are eyes. – Under us are magnificent meanders of river Uvac. Viewpoint “Great peak”. Somewhere on the Google you will hear the name Ice viewpoint. Why? Because under us there is an ice cave. – What are that fortifications? Here we see, some say only city and some medieval city from the 14th century. But, it can be seen that it was built by human hands. Here, griffon vulture are often found. – Yes, here is their largest habitat. Right there. That’s why it is called the place of Orlovaca, on both sides. There are various caves in which one can nest. They like to pose. Yes, they like to pose, sometimes. They use wind of these nice regions. It is one amazing bird which is very important for the ecosystem and nature. Place number three The most beautiful river in Europe, Drina, can be experienced from numerous points along the coast of its flow. Like from the viewpoint of Lokva, above the city of Vrhpolje, where this beauty, on its way, made a wonderful “horseshoe”. However, the third place belonged to the southern panorama. It is widely known as the gate of Podrinje. Here, recently, is a perfectly enclosed facility, weekend house, “panorama”, in which accommodation you have an impression as if you are flying in the air. There is no end to the beauty, because living room has exit on… – That’s right. Terrace, because it offers a wide view and it is a panorama. – On terrace? What about on the terrace? This is a special attraction, this is our jacuzzi, which we have. – I can’t believe it. You have view of the whole Podrinje region, and jacuzzi. Of course, we wanted it to be maximum, so that people can enjoy it. We have a jacuzzi for five people. If the guest wants, it is filled with water and of course, it functions. We have a large terrace, we have a mobile barbecue. In the spring, we instal a large pool under the house, so that we will have a complete content. Here, through binocular, more rhan hundred years ago, Serbs and Austro Hungarians were watching each others. – That’s right. Today, they enjoy the peace and magnificance of nature of Podrinje, in view. Marko, I have to watch a little bit. – You can. From here, really, we see almost… – We see half of western Serbia. Place number two We have reached the vice champion view, which belongs to the mystical and often hard to reach rural areas of eastern Serbia. One of them became an attraction and brand of touristic offer of Serbia, thanks to the hostess of Musticic from Zlot. By ranking on the second place of our top list of the most beautiful views of rural tourism, we want to give them a wind in the back for new guests. Why they deserve it, the best will be explained by the break from the show itself. I absolutely ran out of text, so I’ll ask you to tell me where we are. We arrived to the viewpoint of Petra’s rocks. The viewpoint was named after my daughter Petra. Petra got her name from my grandfather. We said that grandfather is the most deserving for all of this and we wanted him to be remembered. Here is one of the most beautiful views of our land. We can see all three arms of Lazar’s canyon. Mikulj arm, which is on the right side of us. View of “Tower”. “Tower” is a separated stone, it is for itself, it is separated from the edge of the canyon. We have Demizlok arm and Vejski arm. On the right side of us is Kovejski creek. We can say that it is the fourth arm of this canyon. Cameras can record and it would be the best if people come to convince them self in all that, live. Because, this sound of birds, this smell of fresh air, it can’t be described in any other way. You said everything perfectly. Let’s enjoy a little bit! On more than thousand metres below you flows river Tara. It can’t be better than this! Households from municipalities of Foca, Zlatni Bor put an effort, also stable Velinjici tried her best. So, look now those most beautiful views. Milan, take the word and announce where are you taking us? Now, we are going to our viewpoints on Gradina and Visaljka, where guests have a view of Tara. On Scepan field, Maglic, Durmitor, Volujak and so on. I heard that this path is for guests for eternal memory. Now, let’s enchant our viewers imagination. We want to show them! From here you can see Tara. Mountain Durmitor is in the continuation. Tara canyon, Piva canyon up there, Bioc, Maglic, Volujak, Prijes, all these surrounding mountains are in our area. I feel how my lungs rejoice in this fresh air. Yes, from clean air. This colour of Tara is always incredible to me. It is green, specific colour, clear, clean and so on. That one behind you is also viewpoint on your estate? – Yes, it is. Viewpoint name is Visaljka. Visaljka? – Yes. Only name says something. – Yes, it offers view too. We will visit that later. We will start from this viewpoint. – Let’s then not waste our time. All right. Here we are on other viewpoint Visaljka. We are privileged to see the place where river Drina appears. Exactly, the place is Scepan field. On this side is Tara, on the other side is river Piva and there appears Drina river that flows further. – Next to the cities of Foca and? Next to the cities of Foca, Gorazde, Visegrad, Sava. These two rivers Piva and Tara are reason why Drina has such an energy. Exactly, those are mountain rivers. Fascinating colours of rivers, strength, clarity… Moment, about which you talked to us whole day, came. Yes. In my opinion canyon is the most beautiful here. Sincerely, I can not describe with words how I feel on this place. I don’t have to say anything, it would be enough to make selfie. Can we take a picture of river? – We can’t see it. Can I have a small geography course? It is first thing that should be done. Small geography course. We are on the very edge of canyon of river Tara and this place is Pejovina. Right next to Pejovina is the village of Dula’s hill. Great views opened here. Below is river Tara. When we watch now, from left to the right, first we will see repeater on the hill over there and there canyon of river Tara is deepest. 1330 meters is height difference from river to that peak over there. When we go on right, from that river to Curevac we will see whole Durmitor massif. There you can see Bobotob kuk which is the highest peak of Montemegro, 2523 meters. Right next to it is Small Montenegro which is surrounded by canyons of rivers Susica and Tara. When you see furter right we can see the heighest peak of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglic, 2386 meters above sea level. Next to it is massif Bioca, we can see type one and type two Thank you for course. Can picnic be made here? – Yes. Close to here, about 200 or 300 meters from here we have shelter where we made snack or even lunch in coordination with our people. Aim of our club and place where we meet is that people, who come here can feel connection with nature.
