Hi friends, welcome Welcome back to my channel and welcome if you’re new. My name is Sarah, also known as Laugh, Love Langela. And in today’s video, we are going to be talking all about Christmas ornaments that I’ll be using for my 2025 Christmas tree decorating. I have done this in the past as two separate videos. So, this video is just going to talk through the ornaments that I am planning to use on my tree. And then we are separately going to have a decorating video closer to Thanksgiving because I like to leave my tree bare and just enjoy it for its beautiful lights and ambiance in our space before adding the ornaments in. I like my early Christmas decorating to feel calmer and then really bring in those pops and those Christmas touches just before but mainly right after Thanksgiving. So, let’s talk ornaments. I am going to be reusing a lot of my ornaments that I did last year. I honestly really enjoyed how our tree looked and so I want to utilize a lot of that. Some of it I am going to leave off though because I had majority of my ornaments were glass and I’m not going to be able to do that with a current 10-month-old but will be 11 months. Her day her birthday is the day after Christmas so almost a year old at that point in time. And so in an effort to be safe, we’re just not going to do that. But let’s get into the ornaments I’m going to be using this year. So, one of these I’ve already shared, but since then I have gotten the rest of them in. I found these really fun vintage inspired ornaments. They are metal. They are not glass. And they have this like papier-mâchéesque image of a Santa on it and it says Merry Christmas. One of them is backwards and one of them isn’t. So with the frontfacing camera I can show you the backwards one and you can actually read it this time. But I got these from Cotton and Crete and then I got the smaller ones from Antique Farmhouse. And so I have a couple different images that I have. We have this larger one. Again, this is the 6 in size. It also comes in a 4 inch and it says Merry Christmas. So, I wanted the big one to say Merry Christmas so you could actually read it. The smaller ones, I feel like it would get lost in the mix. So, we have that larger one. We also have this Santa carrying like a sack of toys, which is super cool. It’s a very like Nordic inspired, vintage inspired type of look. So, I want to create a more nostalgic type of Christmas look, still utilizing the pieces I already have in our home. And then we have this other one where it’s Santa riding a bike with a reindeer and like the sack and everything. Um, Bonnie from LA, never say this right. Bonnie’s shop. She got one in that’s different than the images that I have and he’s really cool. I just already picked these up or where I would have grabbed those two. Um, but I will have them linked down below if she still has them in stock. I know she is planning a restock this week. It actually might be the day that this goes live if I’m remembering correctly. But anyways, follow her shop as is because she has so many amazing finds. But I’m going off on a tangent. Um, these are kind of these are actually, now that I’m thinking about it, one of the only new ornaments that I am planning to use this year in my decorating. I did actually order an ornament from Bonnie’s shop. It hasn’t come in yet. It shipped already. Um, but it won’t come until after this video goes up. So, I got these like Peter hearts. I got a couple of those to add on the tree. And then I actually, funny enough, found the same ones from Lone Fox Home in a um brass color. So I ordered some of those too today as I’m filming this. So I think it’ll be fun. I love how people are mixing metals more now. And the pewtor really gives that oldworld type of vibe. And the brass kind of has my heart at this point in time. I did the brass elements on our built-ins and absolutely love it. I love the pop it gives off of a green tree. So, I’m super excited about those new additions. Now, we’re going to get get Now, we’re going to get into some old favorites. So, last year I picked up these really pretty velvet flocked, whichever you want to call it, ornaments from Walmart. Actually, they’re in this gorgeous deep burgundy red color, which I love, but I have struggled so much to find good affordable ornaments in burgundy. And I just was missing the mark right and left with them. But these were such a win. These were part of the My Texas House collection, but I’m pretty sure that the regular Walmart section now has their own version of this. Last time I went to Walmart, it was like there’s barely any Christmas stuff. So, I will find what I can and link it down in the video description. As with anything that I can today, again, some of these are older pieces, so I won’t be able to, but definitely going to utilize these again. And I have mentioned this in the past with my Christmas decorating videos, but I really think it is so important to have different shape and size ornaments on your tree. It just makes it look that much more elevated. Even decorating on a budget, it is completely doable. But changing it up and mixing it really just brings it up a notch immediately. And these are so so pretty. And I put my own velvet ribbon on it. Just these are super lightweight. So most of my ornaments I actually use like um twist ties. They make like ornament ones. I can use floral wire too sometimes. And I literally twist them to the branches. So the only way my ornaments are going down is if the tree is going down with it, which I don’t want that. I don’t want that. But here, you can already see we’re pulling the red tones from Santa, and that’s how we’re going to build off this. But then again, I’m just using what I already have from years past and love. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I have my bin literally set to the side right here. Um, another thing I picked up last year were these bells from Hobby Lobby. And they did come back this year, but as I have mentioned in the past with many things, the best stuff sells out fast. And that’s why you might not be ready to think about Christmas in July. I always am. But that is the time to get stuff because you can actually get it. So, I have a bunch of these bells and I used them last year. Absolutely going to use them again this year. They did come out with a different bell version as well that’s like a carved one that’s a little darker. I kind of like that one more, but I restrained myself. I only got three of those to just put at like the base of my stair garland. Um, I’m going to utilize these ones again on my tree because honestly too, the wood tone is so pretty. It’s very close to my mantle actually, which is really great. That’s super unintentional. We had these first, mantle second. Um, but I absolutely loved those and the impact. It’s also important to have bigger ornaments, too. don’t realize how much is required to create a full tree. And if you like it more sparse, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. There is no wrong way to decorate your home, decorate your tree. Whatever works for you and whatever makes you happy is the right choice. So, just to put that out there, I just hope that you guys get inspiration and ideas off of what I do. But just know these are not rules that you need to play by when it comes to decorating your spaces. But definitely the bigger impact that you can, especially around the bottom two/irds of your tree, can really make a difference in how it looks. Now, again, I have a lot of ornaments that I cannot link from years past. These ones are super fun. They’re like a driftwood star. I got these from Kirkland’s I want to say four or five years ago at this point. Um Kirkland’s has honestly been really disappointing me with their selection lately. It just is very loud and bright and there’s some good stuff in the mix, but I have enough to work with that I just don’t bother. But these I absolutely love. I also I just remembered and I didn’t grab it. I have these amazing stag head ones from Kirkland’s. I only have two and I so wish I got more when I had seen them again four or five years ago. Um, but they are some of my all-time favorites. My husband’s as well. So, those are super fun. These ones, oh my goodness, these were fun. So, last year again, I was mentioning that I really wasn’t finding what I wanted. And a really great way to keep it budget friendly but also be resourceful is to DIY your own ornaments. So I had some beaded type style ones from Kirkland’s again years ago that were black that I loved but wasn’t utilizing because I had done a very modern farmhouse tree five years ago now on the flocked one and the black were such a pop. I loved it, but I wasn’t using the ornaments. And so what I did was I actually spray painted them this gorgeous deep red color. And now they are some of my absolute favorite ornaments to use. So if you have something like this that you love, spray paint is your best friend. It’s a couple dollars, a few dollars, um to give it a refreshed look and just become your favorite again. So super excited about these. These again, I have two different sizes. So, this is a bigger one. It actually looks to be like the 6 inch one of the Santa and I also have three or 4 inch ones. I don’t actually know off the top of my head how big they are, but they’re great and they will definitely be utilized once again. Another thing I love to do is include organic elements. So, I have these really great pine cone ornaments that I got from At Home last year. I got a bunch of them. I want to say probably 15 or 16, which sounds excessive, but three of them I put on my mirror and then the rest of them went on the tree. And when you think about the size of a tree, it covered a lot of it. I didn’t want to have just one here and one there. I wanted them to be around the whole tree. So, that’s why I got as many as I did. But these are great. They are still available as I’m filming this. Super budget friendly as well. And they do come in a larger size now, too, which I had not seen until after the fact um of going and shopping at home. I need to make another trip there. They have a lot of great stuff. But these are really great. And I love that they’re not a sphere. I feel like so many pine cone ornaments, they just do the little ball ones. These I absolutely loved. So super excited that they brought those back. The sun is playing with me today, so I am so sorry. Um I also have these wonderful house ornaments that I got from McGee and Co. last year. They’re a ceramic one. It’s a set of two. And these are just so fun. They just remind me of like a village type style that you would see growing up. And I absolutely love love that. We’ve also got these hearth and hand ornaments that I bought last year. They restocked these. I just put them right back in the packaging because I don’t want things breaking. Um, but they have a very vintage inspired glass on them. And I mentioned earlier that I’m not going to utilize a lot of glass ornaments on my tree, but those are a thicker glass, so I’m okay with that. The Robert Stanley ones from Hobby Lobby I absolutely love and they came out with the most gorgeous green color this year, but I will say the glass on those is thinner. So, if it does get tapped the wrong way, it’s shattering in a bunch of pieces. So, just not something I want to risk happening. So, I’m going to stick with the thicker glass just to keep it safe. Now, there isn’t too much more that I’m going to share. We also have these fun ones that were from At Home last year as well. They’re a embroidered and beaded one. Again, giving that like nostalgic Christmas type of look. So, I love those. On the same lines with that, we have these fun little gingerbread. My mom found these at HomeGoods and we got there’s a a man, a lady, and a house of these and they are super fun. Um, but I just I love all things gingerbread if you know anything about me. And then HomeGoods also had these fun there’s a a bell in the mix which I actually I use these. I had loose ones from Amazon and I just put some jute string on them and used that. But we found these cute little bears. They’re like wooden bears from HomeGoods last year, too. So, I got one for my son and one for my daughter. Um, so that way they both have them. But those are very much like what I would expect to see on my tree growing up as a ‘9s baby. So, I really really love that. Um, we also have these, which I completely This is so ridiculous. So, I have four bins, like the 27gallon bins from like Lowe’s and such. I have four of them completely filled with ornaments, and then an extra box as well. So, I am in desperate need of condensing and going through and seeing what I actually use and don’t use. I also have four full-size Christmas trees. They’re not all going up, but because I have so many, I honestly did not realize what I even had. So, um, there are these super gorgeous flocked ones that I got from HomeGoods last year as well. I got these red ones, and I did see them again this year. So, if you did not get your hands on them, you might get lucky with that. So, I found red ones. And then they also had the most gorgeous green color as well. These are super dusty because they were in my garage. Um, it’s really not picking up that well, but we got these green ones, too. So, these might be reserved for a bowl filler or that beautiful stone bowl from Golden Oldies on the back of my behind my sofa on the table. I could probably put them there with the pine cones and that would be really really pretty. Um, and then the last couple things. Last year I utilized both these like ice drop pickics and these red berry picks as well. I couldn’t find them to be filming, so that’s why they’re not here. Um, but I loved love these. I’ve used these for years now. I’ve put them in my garland as well. And against the lights, they look so incredibly pretty. So, these are from Hobby Lobby. They are super budget friendly. Um, I did go over in a previous video of like how to properly use a pick so they’re not just like standing straight up. But these are gorgeous. They give like a very icicle type of moment that I just love. I truly miss living in New York for the winter. The snow was just so incredibly gorgeous and I so hope that we get a blizzard in North Carolina. Um, and then one of the last ones I’m going to share today, I actually picked up some of these candle lights on Amazon. I want to say I got a pack of 30 of them, maybe. I think 30. Yeah, because this is another like nostalgic vibe item that I think of for a tree. Um, I just think it would be so fun to just have another form of lighting. So, I’m super excited to utilize these as well. And then the very last one, they do not sell this exact version of the ornament anymore, but these picture frame ones from Hearth and Hand I got years ago. They’re on a chain. This year’s version is actually it has a ribbon on it and a tree picture, but you can still open it up. And what we have is some like family photos. Um, we have our pup Roxan who’s no longer with us. And then I have one of Cass and I, who’s unfortunately no longer with us either. But this is a fun way of having family photos, pictures of the kids, have them draw something. Um, it’s just a really fun way to personalize your tree. You could switch it up each year if you want, have some fun memories going around. But, um, that is going to wrap up today’s video, friends. I sure hope you enjoyed walking through the item. The items, the ornaments I plan to use on my tree for the 2025 Christmas season. Such a crazy statement to say out loud. Honestly, I cannot believe it is the second week of November already. mindboggling. But I hope you enjoyed today’s video. Thank you so much for hanging out with me here today, friends. And I will see you in my next one. Bye.
