The planter box is one of the tools you get access with the gardener class. This planter gives you seeds in return for what plant types you feed into it. The plants have to be in your own person inventory. This is a nice replacement for breeding boost fertilizer as well.

and welcome back to another Once Human video. Now, I decided I’m going to go ahead and try out one of the new three classes they came out with uh just over a month ago. This uh character I created, I decided to try the gardener class. Now, we’re specifically going to talk about the portable planter box. This can be misleading. I know it confused me. So, when you first start, you get to select your type of portable planter box. Right. Right here. Okay. Portable planter box. Now, what we’re going to do is we are going to place this down. Now, you can see mine has the uh the drill head on it. The first thing I was thinking is like, oh, I put this down my territory and this is going to mine ore. Now, the portable planter box itself, whatever type you have does not do that. That comes from grafting and what type of biomechanical part you use. Meaning this top mechanical part on top. This is the drill head from those from those drillers you encounter. But what we’re talking about is how these things work and why they don’t seem like they are working. Now, if you look at seed breeding here, hit H. Notice I have no fruits available. Now, first thing you need to understand is you do not put seeds in the machine. You put actual harvested goods, fruits or vegetables. Okay? And the first thing that I was thinking, well, that’s weird because I know I have some in my base storage. You know, everything else pulls from the base storage. The portable planter box does not pull from your base storage. Okay, let me show you. You have to actually have the items physically on your person. So, let’s come here and grab some items. I know I have some. Okay, I have some contaminated berries. I have some deviated beet. I have some contaminated wheat. Um, let’s see. What else do I have? Yeah, I I was going nuts trying to figure out why it wasn’t working. But you have to have the items physically on your person. So now if I come here and go to seed breeding. Now notice all the things I put in my inventory. The contaminated uh goods. You cannot put contamin or no not deviated. You cannot put deviated crops in here. So, what you’re going to do is you put these in here and you get seeds back in return. You get a lot of seeds back in return pretty quick. So, we’re going to put the wheat in here. We have one wheat. Confirm. Boom. Now, it’s seed breeding. And we can cancel the summons or we can leave it out. You can also do the same functions when it is inside your backpack. So, that is how you use the portable planter box. In another video, once I figure things out and experiment with it, we’ll talk about uh the grafting. The grafting has a lot of different mechanics to it. I’m going to start experimenting with that in the next couple of days once I figure out what seeds actually work with it, what plants, because it does not work with every variety of seed. And the seeds do not have tool tips on them telling you what is graftable and what is not graftable. So, it’s trial and error. I’m sure there’s a chart out there somewhere. I’m gonna try to find that before I actually do any research on the items. But, yeah, you know, uh I don’t know. I I like the gardener class so far, but there are some uh I I don’t know. There’s some issues that I had with it. But definitely a big benefit is this portable planter thing right here because imagine not having to make all that seed breeding fertilizer. I mean, this thing is a lifesaver.
