I’ve had this for 5ish years. The soil has been hydrophobic for a while now but she never seemed mad at it. I have also never repotted but, again, she never seemed mad. I recently took a metal skewer and aerated the soil by stabbing it a bunch of times to un-clump the soil. Then I watered her the usual amount. A couple days later I noticed this section of branch is FLACCID. I’m thinking maybe I stabbed into a vital part of the root and ruined that branch? The top inches of soil were dry so I watered it again and waited a day, but still flaccid. Should I repot it into a bigger pot or just add more soil into this one? I’m scared if I repot she’ll get even worse. I have it in the nursery pot and then in a decorative pot, there’s no standing water at the bottom of the decorative pot

My bet is stress/damage from the skewer lesions. Should recover at some point.
