And that’s why they went out and got Wilson. If you’re going to run a if you want to run cover two, if you want to run play with two safeties back, you have to have great linebackers and you have to have some guys on the D line that can get after it. Like you you got to have six guys that can stop the run and get after the passer in the box. And uh 1,000%. Hopefully this guy gets them closer to that for the Cowboys sake, for the Eagle Se doesn’t work out at all. All right, now that does it for the trade deadline. Jason, let’s get into the rest of week, whatever it is. Okay, we’re officially at the halfway point of the NFL season. Let’s hand out some halfway points. Halfway point awards. That’s a weird way to say that. Halfway point awards. Uh we based all the categories on memes for the uh the player or team that isn’t getting talked about enough. We’re handing out the I owe you an apology. I wasn’t familiar with your game award. There’s a lot of people that can win this one. That’s the thing about the NFL season, man, is somebody could get hot right now. Somebody could just a team could just like mesh and a team can get an injury and then all of a sudden be buns. I mean, look at the Ravens first half of the year. Lose two games early on, get decimated with injuries, and now all of a sudden they’re back to competing. So, who do you think is a, you know, was not given enough credit? I mean, obviously the Colts are probably the biggest thing. Daniel Jones, I would say. Um, but the sneaky one let down this past week, but another one’s a sneaky one, man. Sam Darnold up there in Seattle. Seattle’s all the way the [ __ ] up there in that Northwest, man. And they I they just don’t get talked about enough. They don’t get talked about enough. That team is [ __ ] physical. They have a number one in that wide receiver room. Yeah, that dude Jack Jackson and Jenga, bro. What? Yes, that dude is [ __ ] nasty. Crazy routes. He’s he’s pissing everybody off that plays him. He’s a [ __ ] problem. Um and then their run game is [ __ ] downhill. It’s coming at you. And that’s giving Sam Darnold a lot of time back there, man. Yeah, they’re running, man. They’re running that Kubiaak system very well. Uh Clint Kubak is I mean, it feels like the same thing as when I was watching Houston with Aryan Foster and all those guys. I mean, it’s the run and play action marries up very well. And Darnold is fantastic this year. I mean, everybody, it’s crazy that one playoff game. Everybody had already come back around to Sam Darnold being a good quarterback. Then he has one absolutely terrible like a couple games to end of the season and then every, oh yeah, I guess Sam Darnold actually does suck. And then he’s out there again. He’s like he’s like first or second in QBR through the first half of the season. Like he’s balling out. And yeah, it helps to have JSN this year just like it helped to have uh freaking uh Jefferson Justin Jefferson last year, but Sam Darnold is slanging it. Leonard Williams, the guys they got up front on defense, they’re they they have some players in Seattle. NFC West is going to be an interesting one because I think the Rams have also they could very easily I mean they you take away a blocked field goal and a fourth down conversion and they haven’t lost the game this year. Isn’t that crazy? Isn’t that crazy? You could just [ __ ] pull out two plays at the end of a game. It’s like that’s how close victory is in in this [ __ ] league, man. So, I’m with you. I think Seattle and Darnold got to be the I owe you an apology and I think everybody kind of owes Darnold an apology. Um, all right. For the veteran that is still balling out, it’s the Unk still got it. Oh, I’m not familiar with this meme. What’s this meme? Can I see this one? Still got it. It’s impressive that ever had that. Ah, that boy going crazy. Still got it. How do you even find out that you could do that? Ank is traditionally an older player. Still got it. Got to be an older player. Balling out. Yep. I feel like Stafford is the obvious choice because he’s I mean he might be he’s definitely up there in contention for MVP through the first half of the season, but I feel like nobody thought Stafford didn’t have it. Like everybody kind of knew Stafford’s a great quarterback. Yeah. Stafford’s unbelievable. Yeah. So for still got it. I feel like it’s got to be it’s got to be the old one of the oldest players in the league. It’s got to be Flaco, right? That got to be Flaco. Nobody expected him to go out there and throw for 470 on a team that he was he’s only been on for like two weeks. Yeah. The most by a 40 plus year old quarterback in the regular season. The only 40-year-old quarterback who was thrown for more was Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52. Yeah, I remember that one. That was a wild one. That was a fun game. Um, for the team that is getting healthy at the right time. We’re calling this the call the ambulance, but not for me. I don’t I don’t know this one either. Am I just not plugged in? No, I don’t know this one. I knew the last one, but I don’t know this one. Hopefully the younger audience gets this one. All right, we got Ravens Tampa Bay 49ers. I don’t The thing with the 49ers, are they even getting healthy? I feel like a lot of the guys they’ve lost are freaking out. Yeah, that just sucks. I think uh they got KD back last week or two weeks ago. Um, I guess you do they even want park per to come back at this point. Mac Jones has been balling. The way Mac Jones has been balling, man. That’s that’s a tough decision because you paid a lot of money. And I ain’t like Pertie’s was playing bad. It’s just M. Jones has really played well in his time. That’s tough, man. It’s tough. I mean, I still feel like Tampa Bay is the real deal. And once they get healthy, I think they’re going to be competitive. I think Baker is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. They’ve kind of been injured to this point and they’re still one of the top teams in the NFC. Ravens, I mean, the those are two good options. All three of these are really good options. I’m going to go Tampa Bay. I’m going to give Keep on the Baker love train. Yeah, keep it in the NOC. Yeah. For the team or player, we can’t really explain, but it gets the kids going. The 67 award. Nice. It’s a good one. That’s a good one. you know about this one. It’s just supposed to mean like it’s okay, but then at the same time, nobody really knows. Everybody just kind of says it now whenever it’s just like a six. Yeah. All right. Whatever. Um feel like the Who’s got the juice? It’s got to be Jackson Dart, right? He’s gone in and played really well. I love the energy and effort and excitement that he’s had on the game day, but it doesn’t feel like it’s like uh it’s not all there yet. They’re still a few pieces away up there in New York. And that’s the perfect for the teamer player we can’t really explain but gets the kids going and this I mean he gets every the the Jackson darts Scataboo really scataboo was the but without Scataboo is it there still ah man Broncos are another good choice I don’t know if how you feel about that but the Broncos defense is lights out Nicks is only good when his team is losing for some reason bro when it when it comes down to it listen the guy just baller He needs pressure. He needs to be like, “Oh [ __ ] shit’s [ __ ] hitting the fan. I got to [ __ ] make a play.” Exactly. And he does. It’s crazy. And he does every time. Yeah. I’ve seen it firsthand. Last year, he tried to pull off like a second half like downfield lateral. Yeah. I don’t know if you remember this, bro. And I was like, “Bro, he’s out there doing this [ __ ] with the [ __ ] game on the line, man. Fuck.” Do you want to name the Broncos the 67 award or is that feeling No, I think I think it’s either Drake May or Scabbo on the Drake May’s a 10. You can’t give him a 67 award. This dude is balling out right now. 67 to me is not balling out. 67 is like you’re having a moment. You’re playing well, but you’re not like the best. I thought it just kind of got the kids going for some reason. I saw a video of uh of Drake May and his uh his tackle. They’re at a uh they’re at the Boston Celtics game and they put Drake May up on the uh on the screen on the floor and everybody’s going crazy and there’s a Boston Celtics kid like a kid like a fan in the stands that had a I love Drake May shirt on and he was going [ __ ] nuts. I mean it definitely gets the kids going. I just don’t think that that’s what 67 is. I I don’t Yeah, Drake May. Sure. Yeah, you [ __ ] crushed it, Jason. Thanks for solid. Thank you. It’s real. You leaned in. Thank you so much. [ __ ] Just leave that out to dry. [ __ ] That was great. Sold it. Do you think I know what 6F means? I don’t [ __ ] know. All righty. That’s our mid-season awards. In the cold November air of Buffalo and New York, a battle was unfolding that felt bigger than just another regular season matchup. The Kansas City Chiefs had come to town. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and all ready to remind the league why they were still the team to beat. But on this night, it wasn’t Mahomes Magic or Kelsey’s signature swagger that would steal the spotlight. It was a young safety named Cole Bishop, a rising star for the Buffalo Bills, who had the game of his life and in doing so made sure everyone in the NFL learned his name. Bishop was everywhere, flying across the field, reading Mahomes like a book, and delivering hits that echoed through the stadium. By the end of the night, he’d racked up four pass breakups, a tackle for loss, and a highlight reel of plays that left even veteran analysts shaking their heads in disbelief. But it was one particular hit, one perfectly timed collision that everyone would be talking about long after the final whistle. Late in the first half, with the Chiefs driving deep into Bill’s territory, Mahomes dropped back, scanning the field. He saw his most trusted target, Travis Kelce, streaking toward the end zone. Mahomes let it fly, a laser spiraling through the air toward number 87. The ball sailed just a touch high. Kelsey reached for it, fully extended, and then boom. Cole Bishop arrived like a freight train. Shoulder down, perfectly timed. No penalty, just a clean, brutal football hit. Kelsey hit the turf hard. The air knocked completely out of him. For a moment, the stadium froze. The crowd went silent before erupting in disbelief. The superstar tight end, one of the toughest men in the league, stayed down a few seconds longer than usual. On the Bills sideline, helmets slapped. Coaches nodded. That was textbook defense. On the Chief’s sideline, concern washed over the team’s faces. Kelsey eventually got up, but something was different. He walked off slowly, chest heaving, and before halftime, trainers escorted him to the locker room. The league’s concussion protocol kicked in immediately. The hit had been that hard. Later on, on his New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelsey, Travis broke it down the only way he could with honesty and a laugh. Bro, it’s football. “Stop it,” Travis said, chuckling. He caught me, man. Knocked the wind right out of me. I got kind of sandwiched in there. You know you’re okay, but you just can’t breathe. I’m sitting there like he mimics the gasping sound laughing through it. Jason jumped in teasing. You went into the blue tent. Travis grinned. No, no. They had me in the locker room at halftime. I’m sitting there like why? What is this? They’re asking me what day it is who we played last week. I’m like, dude, I don’t even remember. We’re in week nine, right? Are you kidding me? That’s vintage Travis Kelce. Tough, funny, and self-aware. But underneath the laughter, fans could tell that hit shook him. At 36 years old, in his 13th NFL season, Kelsey has taken countless hits, but few like that one. With every game, every yard, the talk grows louder. Is this his final season? Rumors swirl, fueled by whispers that after all the fame, all the championships, and all the spotlight, not to mention a high-profile relationship with global superstar Taylor Swift, this might be the last chapter of his legendary career. If that’s true, Sunday’s matchup in Buffalo might have been a fitting, if painful, farewell to one of the NFL’s most iconic rivalries. Next year, Highark Stadium will be replaced by a new state-of-the-art arena. So, if that was Kelsey’s last game there, it was one to remember because Buffalo gave him everything they had. As Kelsey walked to the locker room after that hit, Bill’s fans didn’t hold back. Words were exchanged. Gestures were thrown. It was heated, emotional, the kind of raw energy that defines Bill’s mafia. And Kelsey, who’d once called Buffalo fans disrespectful after a 2024 playoff loss, took it all in stride this time. On his podcast, his tone was different, respectful, even appreciative. That was a tough one, he admitted. Going up to Buffalo is never easy. That stadium was rocking. The place was electric. Shout out to Bill’s Mafia. They were talking all the bleep in the world, and I love it. That’s a sacred place to play football, man. I cherish every chance I get to go up there. It sucks when you don’t come away with a win because they let you have it. That’s the thing about football. It’s not just a game. It’s memory, emotion, legacy. For Cole Bishop, it was a coming out party, a performance that announced his arrival on the NFL stage. For Travis Kelce, it was a reminder of the game’s brutal honesty that even the greats aren’t immune to its punishing nature. But that’s what makes Kelsey well. Kelsey, he takes the hits, laughs through the pain, and lines up for the next play. And as for Bishop, that hit, that moment, may very well define the start of his career. He didn’t just stop a touchdown. He made a statement. The kid had arrived and the league took notice. As the season rolls on, both players carry the memory of that play. One as a badge of pride, the other as a battle scar. For Bill’s fans, it was a victory 28 to 21, a night that felt like redemption. For Chiefs fans, it was a wake-up call that even their invincible stars can be human. But for everyone watching, whether from the stands in Buffalo or from living rooms across America, it was a reminder of why this sport still captures the nation’s soul. The drama, the danger, the respect between rivals, and the stories that unfold in between the whistles. Football at its core is about moments. And on that cold night in Buffalo, Cole Bishop and Travis Kelce gave us one we won’t forget. Because sometimes the biggest plays aren’t the touchdowns.
