The Range has opened in Oldbury
The Range has officially opened its latest store in the Midlands, taking over the former Homebase store in Oldbury.
However green-fingered enthusiasts will not miss out as a result of the new opening, as it includes a Garden Centre by Homebase, offering ‘everything from outdoor plants and gardening tools to essential supplies’.
Crowds gathered outside the store – dubbed a ‘one-stop destination for all home and garden improvements’ – on Friday morning (November 14) as an official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held.

There was an incentive for the first 50 customers through the doors, as they were handed a goodie bag packed with products.
Shoppers were also treated to tips and demos from brand representatives, including Westlands, who highlighted their latest products and offered exclusive promotions.

Alex Simpkin, CEO of CDS Superstores, trading as The Range, Wilko and Homebase, said: “We’re thrilled to have welcomed so many people to our new Oldbury location, following the acquisition of Homebase.

This newly-opened store also offers a free click and collect service, allowing customers to shop either online at www.homebase.co.uk or therange.co.uk and grab their purchases in-store within an hour.
Those planning to visit the new Oldbury store can also take their well-behaved dogs on leads with them.
