Thank You!

Well, we moved. It’s been three months probably since the last video. A busy three months. We also got another dog. This is Bentley. Chevy’s workout partner. The old coupe that we had actually made it here. But with winter coming, I was not really comfortable that that one would uh would do the job. But they’ve been doing really well. Blondie actually molted and was looking awful, but all the feathers came back. She looks good now. Even her mohawk came back. in full glory. I know that’s real Scott chick cozy which has been helping a lot from the old coupe. Also from the old coupe and my fifth egg came Converting the shed to a coupe was fairly easy. You just had to open up this hole for the door, the chicken run door. And then I put some hard wire cloth over the windows. That’s the lean to I set up. Honestly, I think this was like maybe 250. Just has all my crap in there. All the spikes from the last property in the last video were all pulled out again. When the ground isn’t frozen, I’ll put them back in. But I have rocks all around and I pretty much took it apart in pieces. Like the door I didn’t have to put all together again. I just took it off and only one pole broke during the move. Not even sure where, but we’re looking all right. And then I just attached it to the shed. I keep the table out to give them some protection. Poor table. And the first one that’s adventurous is going to get all the worms. The chicken run has honestly been fantastic. And since I got in the summer, it’s now at I think 35% battery still. Every once in a while, you do have to kind of clean this top off because the door will get stuck. I was a little late to this. So this morning, I actually had to kind of pry it open. Other than that, I’m super pleased with it. There’s Chevy over there. There’s Bentley over there. We’re backed up to Woods now. It’s just so much more quiet. If one of the dogs gets on the other side of the fence, they they still have a fighting chance. They’re on the main road. Even though there’s way more hawks here, too. Right. I got the prayer flags up. Remind me of my father. Chevy’s very vocal. He’s like a husky. and Bentley, who we just got maybe a month and a half ago, is 6 months old. Apparently roaming the streets in Patterson. They’re both super muts. Bentley’s super intelligent, very easy to train, and Chevy is super stubborn, but also pretty smart. And he’s losing weight now, too, cuz he’s got a buddy. Finally chase him around. I have to make all the flower beds over again for my wife. We think we’ll do them all here. Nice flower beds. And unfortunately, I I did put the the run right underneath a tree that’s leaning towards my house, and the top of it is completely dead. So, I called a guy a few minutes ago for that cuz I’m not comfortable cutting that one down. We’ve been busy. Oh boy. Chevy’s five. Still acting like a puppy. And usually the instigator honey one. Yeah. You hear her? worms. Oh, I believe they’re a Rhode Island Red hybrid. They’ve been doing well this winter. They can withstand supposedly -20° F. And the lowest we got was about -5, but that’s with the cozy heating plate inside their coupe as well. I do need to figure out how to keep the water from freezing. If you have any tips, please let me know. I’ve just been coming outside honestly every morning and just giving them a new warm bowl. I put ping pong balls in a bowl. I filled up the other large container, but that would freeze up as well. So, I’ve just been filling up a rubber bowl with it. But if there’s a heater out there, let me know. They’re spoiled. They got the fence installed all around the property. And then I put metal wire fence about 500 ft worth string lights all around. been really cleaning this up. You can see all the cutings that I’ve thrown over the property line to be honest with you. Dead tree that I cut down. sketchy. Been really trying to clear out the property of like leaning trees, dead trees, logs that were just in the way. Can actually see deer tracks. They still hop over this 4ft fence easy. So when we set up the garden, it’s might need to put a 8ft fence up. We’ll see. But the boys are super free. They pass out. Having a second dog, I highly recommend. They go to bed an hour earlier and I barely have to throw a ball anymore cuz they’re just chasing each other around. These three trees might go and then we’ll put the flower beds there. Everything here is kind of just leaning towards the sun. When it gets warmer, I’ll have more to show you. All the gardening will start. If you already saw my wife uh posting on Instagram, you’ll see that she’s starting all the seeds inside the house. But that’s what’s nice about winter is it forces you to relax. However much we are excited to to be gardening soon enough, but [Music]
