we keep this plant right next to this south facing window. Blinds open around 6:30pm until sundown in California. We water every 3 weeks. It’s getting progressively sadder. I did notice the soil seems very brittle and dry (top 7” or so totally dry despite the fact that is was watered last weekend). Does it need to be repotted? Watered more? Grateful for any help!

Bro that thing needs water look at those curly leaves it needs water & a bigger pot
I’d give the guy more water to start! Usually top 1-3 inches being dry indicates a good time to water! I have hope he’ll prop back up :))
Don’t mind me, I’m just admiring that view!
Sorry that not about post, but i love your pot. Is it handmade?
Yea you might want to check the roots and then repot them separately. Usually with house plants (from my own research) if the leaves start to dry out and turn brown from the tips they need water.
However if leaves start turning yellow first it seems to be one: they are possibly rootbound or two: there is some sort of deficiency, which is why you should check your roots first and go from there.
Would also add that sometimes it’s cold next to windows/walls. My boss has her dracaena next to a brick wall at work and during the fall/winter the leaves turn yellow like yours I think mostly because the brick wall is the coldest side of the store 😅 there’s air vents and like no insulation I think 🤷🏽♀️ just saying lol
