I got this little guy about 9 months ago this ago but every time I try and look up what it is I get a different answer . In the last 3 months he’s exploded with new growth and it literally climbing up the wall. I thought maybe it would go dormant since it’s winter here?

It’s inside so will entirely depend on how warm you’re keeping it. Dormancy isn’t on some kind of timer – just a response to changing conditions.
