Texas Hill Country Garden Trip! We’re on the road again—this time to San Antonio, deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, to visit friends who just moved from Southern California to a home on a wildlife preserve. We couldn’t wait to help them plan their very first Texas garden! What started as a garden-planning trip turned into a full Hill Country adventure—complete with wildlife right outside their porch, a walk through the Alamo, an evening on the River Walk, and our first-ever Wurstfest!
CaliKim UnCut pulls back the curtain—raw, real, and unfiltered. From garden projects to behind-the-scenes moments, it’s the everyday life that makes us laugh, shake our heads, and realize why growing our own fresh food is always worth it.

Helping our friends plan a new garden in the Texas Hill Country was such a fun experience. If you could start a garden anywhere, where would it be? -CaliKim & CamerGuy
Must see the wildflowers. Bluebonnets!!!
Will you guys think about moving to TX
Love this format! Great video!
I was looking for you to be kicking up those heals😊 looks like a great time and thanks for sharing yet another great vid.
Looks like yall had a blast ❤
Feed the soil and the soil will take care of your plants.
Oklahoman here – the only food I grow in July and August are sweet potatoes and herbs. I grow lots of sun loving annuals. Even growing those are big commitments because often you are watering 2x daily. Texas and Oklahoma are consistently 95 and above with evenings being in the 80s. You can't get things to fruit because they are stressed. Best time to grow is March Thru June and mid Sept through November. Shade cloth does help
We are heading to the old world in HB in a couple weeks
Lived in El Paso when I was a kid and would never go back
You guys are the cutest people.
Oh don''t worry about the deer. For deer you build a 6ft high double fence spaced 6ft apart. Deer cant judge and jump a double fence. The concern for your friends is the pack rats. I hope they don't have them. They'll strip the bark off those fruit trees. A friend in AZ had to build a fully enclosed garden using chicken wire. Another great adventure video.
Happy you all came to Texas we live two hours away from San Antonio I used to go there just about every month. This was so much fun to watch.❤
Great move "escaping " from California. I lived in Newport Beach, Laguna-Niguel, and now Julian, California. I spent time in Texas, and it's much better than California EXCEPT for the humidity 😮. Texas also has armadillo. They are very freaky looking animals, almost prehistoric.
That looks like so much fun & looks like y’all had a blast. Thanks for sharing 😊
I love this! I truly appreciate when my friends enjoy helping me in my garden! So much fun in the Spring!
