I love this guy. Despite being fairly new to begonias, I’ve managed to have this guy get pissed in the mail on its way to me, grow back, and look amazing. I keep it in an acrylic display case.
That being said, I switched it to a semi hydro mix today and I had to remove the greenish weird plug it was in. I just know it may get mad and drop leaves, so enjoy it today before then 🤣

This one might…but I’ve gotta tell you that every begonia I’ve switched to semi hydro has taken off like a rocket without any setback. My alocasias drop leaves, my philos and monsteras go into stasis for 2-3 months before doing anything new, but my begonias have never had an issue. So I hope you’re pleasantly surprised!
I have an amphioxus in stratum, and it loves it. I think you’ll be surprised at how well it does. Those naked root planters are great for semi-hydro.
