Okay so I feel like I’ve got a decently firm grasp on the growth habits and quirks of my various Echeverias, but my bear paw is still a new and unfamiliar part of my collection. I brought this guy home from the grocery store about a month ago. Repotted and placed under grow lights with the rest of my collection. I know he was a bit etiolated as grocery store succulents tend to be. Since then he’s put out 10 new leaves and as I was watering this morning I noticed that there are new leaf buds emerging from the top of the base of existing leafs. That’s normal for a bear paw, right? He seems to be happy and healthy otherwise so just wanted some confirmation. Thanks!

It took me a while to get this thing to live and I think it’s thriving because it hasn’t died like the last one I had. I have the same little growths popping out of those areas. I take the growth as a win lol. I just ignore this thing and I try not to look at it or touch the fuzz(even though that’s why I bought it). It’s overall been a really rude adoptee. I think you’re good though.
Yes. It’s branching out, which is normal as these are bushy-growing plants.
How cute!!! As soon as it fills up… 🥰
