Hey team,
I haven’t grown many philodendrons and find myself with a few babies that I’m not familiar with— I have this little Florida Beauty (I think? Got it in a grower’s choice) and she’s throwing out roots on her… stalk? Will I need to trim her or do anything different? What are next steps with this size of baby plant? Thank you so much! I am so looking forward to learning more about these babies!

  1. She’s a viny gal for being so small! You could get her the world’s tiniest moss pole! 😅

Care is exactly like a big one, but small pots need more frequent watering. Provide a kitchen skewer for climbing support until she can pot up and get a moss pole. Gradually work it up to as much light as it can tolerate to push faster growth.

I actually have come to prefer the little ones to start, because they acclimate so much better to my home growing conditions than a mature plant.

That might be the cutest thing I’ve seen lately
