This went on for 9 minutes! I have the full length video but it gets boring after a while, just repeats itself.
In the end, the worm drops to the ground, still twitching but not for much longer.
In cases like this, where the prey is too big for hydra to swallow, they simply suck the juices out of it and drop the rest. Quite amazing for an animal without a brain.
