Hey folks,

These cuttings have been in water for three weeks with no root growth yet – are they cooked? They still look green and alive. Is there anything I can do at this point to save them?

they can take a while, keep at it and dont change the water too frequently

Just let them be, they take time.

As long as none of the roots are turning brown and mushy then they are probably fine.

If you want to increase your chances of rooting, do any of the following: increase light, increase warmth, increase humidity. Placing a clear dome of some sort or a plastic bag over the top is the best way to increase humidity. That will also increase warmth via the greenhouse effect.

Also avoid changing the water unless there is rot or algae growing, because the cuttings release hormones which encourage root development.

Give time to time… in any case, pothos is an easy and grateful plant. Soon you will see it grow non-stop and I hope it makes a beautiful waterfall that covers your wall 🙂

I’ve had mine for 5 years… I always put the cuttings in water and then plant them again next to them.
