I just got a notification from my lawn care company in Northwest suburbs of Chicago:

Essential Lawn Treatment 6

Technician: *****

Today I applied a fertilizer to help the lawn recover from summer stress and provide good growth throughout the fall.

Unless your lawn was overseeded we may have blanket sprayed or spot treated for actively growing broadleaf weeds.

As your representative, I take great pride in the care of your lawn. If you have any questions or concerns, please call me right away.

This is why I cancelled my lawn service and purchased a spreader.

They came out during a rainstorm while my lawn was soaked to do my pre-emergent in the spring.

How people that complain about Scott’s spreaders use Scott’s spreaders.

  5. That white stuff on the ground is a winter lawn fungus. He’s applying a post emergent fungicide.

One of my neighbors had a company come and seed and put down topsoil last weekend. We’ve had highs of barely 40 and nights are in the 20s and we now have about an inch of snow on thr ground. Not sure what their results will be.

That like the landscapers that show up in the month of August when it’s been super dry. Everyone’s lawns are basically completely dormant.

Yet they come every week and act like they are mowing the grass…
