I was arranging my plants for the upcoming winter and I discovered long-forgotten leaves that had fallen off somewhere during summer and were gathered to lay in a small container, so I could prop them later. I noticed something white and decided to sort through the pile I've neglected for so long. And there I found this flowering baby! 🥺 I have never seen a single leaf of a graptopetalum put out a flower! I don't always get an adult plant to bloom, and here was this tiny thing, and it felt like a miracle, so I wanted to share.

What a thrill to find succulents in the wild! Please let it be known that removing plants from the wild is considered poaching, and is illegal in many places! Removing succulents from the wild, or from any location without permission is not tolerated here. Suggesting one should take plants from the wild is also not allowed. This also goes for any plants found on any private property; theft is not tolerated.

May I ask, when you found the dropped leaves, were they getting strong light? I would love to know what cases this to happen.

I have never heard of this happening to a baby prop, but I think it’s so cool! Lucky you!
I hope BOTH of you share many, many years together.
