As you can see from the pictures, many of the leaves end up with browning. I think she may need a repotting it could be root rot because my mom prunes leaves all of the time and they still end up brown a lot. Could also be general overwatering but I would love any advice if anyone has any! I didn’t really think it was a light issue but totally could be, I’m no expert. Let me know if I should repot AND water less too, thanks in advance!

I believe the brown crisping leaf edges is from minerals in the water vs overwatering. Mine is perfectly healthy and it still does that. Yours looks healthy too. I wouldn’t repot yet, there’s plenty of space in there. She will tell you when it needs water because the leaves will droop dramatically, *but* they’ll perk up just as quickly. Just make sure the pot has proper drainage and you should be fine.

Also, I repotted and cut back the old leaves on mine in July, and it is only now starting to look full again. This was five years from the last time I repotted it. If you do go about repotting it, it will likely recover slowly but once it gets settled it’ll put out new growth really quickly.
