The New England Botanic Garden’s annual large-scale holiday light display, “Night Lights,” has been nominated for USA Today’s Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights list.

The nomination is part of the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

A panel of experts nominated the Boyleston event, which is being considered among the top 20 best light shows hosted by botanical gardens across the country this year, the nonprofit organization announced in a statement.

“We’re so proud to be nominated for USA Today’s Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights. With half a million lights, dazzling displays, and festive experiences, Night Lights offers something joyful for everyone,” New England Botanic Garden CEO Grace Elton said in a statement.“Behind the sparkle, our talented team of staff and volunteers dedicates countless hours to creating a uniquely special celebration of the winter season.”

The community can help the garden represent the region by voting daily for “Night Lights” as a finalist for the USA Today award. Voting is open now and runs through Dec. 1 at 11:59 a.m. The voting link can be found here.

The “Night Lights” event kicks off on Nov. 22 and runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with the exception of Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1. The final day is on Jan. 4, according to the organization’s website.

While walking through the brightly lit garden displays, visitors can also enjoy festive family activities, sweet treats and holiday shopping. Free on-site parking is also available.
