Hey y’all. I wanted to come on here this evening and give you a two week update of my giant zena that I cut down. I want to show you guys what it looks like now. Okay, so two weeks ago, this giant zena was all the way up to there and I chopped it down. And let’s look at it today. So, it’s been two weeks. So, this is where the chop was, and this is all of the new growth that is coming off of where I chopped it. So, all of these are going to be getting little buds. Every one of these is going to have flowers on it. Now, this is one that I did not chop down all the way, and it already has a beautiful flower on it, but you can see from this example up here how big it was getting. And this is another branch off of it. And this is the sad news, guys. This one broke. So, I knew that was probably going to happen because it was getting so heavy. But I was hoping with me cutting it down that it wouldn’t break. So, what I’m going to do is come in here and cut that off. And we’ll still have this big, beautiful plant. And it is going to be absolutely loaded full of zenyas. Okay, guys. Our little experiment on cutting back our zingyas worked. And you need to do this, too. If you’ve got zenyas that have got big and tall and are starting to get floppy, cut them back because they will be loaded down with more buds and more flowers, which is super exciting. So, let me know in the comments down below if you’ve ever cut back your zingas or if you need to cut yours back and you’ve just been a little bit scared to do so.
