Discover how I grow corn and radish together in just 5 containers! 🌽🥕
In this experiment, I test whether these two plants can thrive side by side in a small space.

Unbelievable Corn & Radish Result! Start by preparing a 20-liter container and drill a few holes at the bottom
to ensure good drainage Fill the container with well-draining soil mix Adding compost to the bottom of the container to improve soil fertility Add two handfuls of wood ash to enrich the soil, boost potassium,
strengthen plants, and repel pests Next, fill the rest of the container with soil mix (see the description link for details) Water the soil thoroughly before planting I use a spoon to dig the holes for planting This experiment: 1 corn + 4 radishes! These are F1 hybrid golden corn seeds Plant two seeds in each hole to ensure better growth These are white radish seeds I also plant several seeds in each hole to ensure better germination Gently cover the seeds with soil, making sure they are fully covered but
not packed too tightly Water the containers thoroughly, keeping the soil moist but not soggy After 3 days Water daily to keep the soil moist but not soggy. Always water early in the morning
or late in the afternoon to avoid mildew and reduce stress on the plants After 8 days Select a strong, healthy corn plant and thin out the others Select the strongest radish plants and thin out the rest, just like with the corn After 25 days Prune the lower leaves to improve airflow and help keep pests away Phase 1: Feed the plants with compost to nourish them I use 20 ml of urea (nitrogen) mixed with 10 liters of water Apply urea (nitrogen) fertilizer weekly to keep plants strong and healthy After 35 days Continue pruning the lower leaves to improve airflow and reduce pests Apply a handful of wood ash to boost potassium in the soil for bigger
corn cobs and radish bulbs Phase 2: Repeat the same fertilizer from phase 1 From this stage, I use 20 ml of urea (nitrogen) and potassium (K) fertilizer mixed
with 10 liters of water to promote healthy growth and strong stems This season, worms attacked the radishes, so I sprayed organic pesticide
to get rid of them.(See the description for details!) Spray the top and bottom of the leaves with pesticide every 3–5 days to
get rid of pests. Stop once the pests are gone To prevent pests, continue spraying pesticide every 7 to 10 days After 45 days Many worms attacked the radishes, so we rotated different
organic pesticides to get rid of them Apply a handful of wood ash to boost potassium in the soil for bigger corn cobs
and radish bulbs, and to help prevent worms Phase 3: Use the same fertilizer as in Phase 1 Note: Compost every 10 days + weekly liquid feed = healthy plants! After 50 days Hand-pollinate corn by transferring pollen from tassels to silks for a bigger harvest After 60 days In this experiment, keep two corn ears per plant and remove the rest for a bigger harvest Phase 4: Apply the same fertilizer as in phase 2 After 67 days During harvest, I trim back the leaves so the corn ears are visible and ready to pick Do the same with radishes, trim the leaves to reveal the juicy, ready-to-harvest roots! A sign that corn is ready to harvest: the silks at the top of the ear should
be brown, dry, and shriveled The corn ear should feel solid when gently squeezed, and the husk may
turn slightly yellow or brown, indicating maturity Check out this beautiful, golden corn! Please enjoy this harvest time! Time to dig up some perfect radishes! Stay tuned for the next episode, where this soil will be reused to grow another crop
and continue the gardening journey! Thanks for watching, God bless you!
