A WEST Parley garden centre has been taken over by another business to help cope with its ‘strong demand’.

The previous In-Excess in West Parley has recently been taken over by Baskets and Blooms.

Last week, Baskets and Blooms took to social media to inform the public and customers that they had taken over the In-Excess site, explaining that there was a ‘strong demand’ for their plants.

The business’ new garden centre is a stones throw from their plant centre on Christchurch Road in Ferndown.

A spokesperson for Baskets and Blooms said: “This notice has been posted at In-Excess West Parley to inform customers that it is now a Baskets and Blooms Centre.

“This addition to our stores will not impact the existing one across the road or the one at Stuckton, Fordingbridge.

“We have made the acquisition to help us cope with the strong demand for our plants.

“We know that our West Parley Plant Centre has been struggling to cope at peak times. Our customers have been very patient and understanding, however we will now be able to do much better for everyone.”

The business added that the changeover will be ‘gradual’, with constant updates being posted to Facebook for customers to follow.
