Found these two beauties at Lowe’s, and I couldn’t pass them up. I’ve drowned 2” pots of each in my early plant journey, but I’m confident I can refrain from unaliving them.

You got it! My pearls have been super quick growing for me 🤞🏻 hopefully yours will also thrive!

Not religious, but I’m praying hard for you

  3. Those look really nice. They are a bit difficult but I had some like that which are still alive almost 2 years later except not as nice looking. A difficult plant but very nice and challenging and I will always keep trying with them.

God help you if they’ve been sitting in soggy soil.

    Fingers crossed.

First thing I learned after my SOP and Hearts almost pooped out on me, was to repot. Whatever Lowe’s and Home Depot puts in their pots suck. I had seen a video where someone did half their own succulent mix, but kept the top half of whatever the original soil was so it was easier to repot. Yea don’t do that cuz I almost killed mine that way. lol. It’s a bitch, but completely repot. Pot with drainage holes, using a well draining succulent mix, with half succulent soil and half perlite. They love the light hitting the top of them. I lightly mist mine every couple days and I’ve noticed significant growth and they look way more full.

My first plant was a string of pearls. I read all of the horror stories and felt in over my head. But she’s doing perfect, long and full. Change that soil asap. Get you a gritty mix and water ONLY when dry. Ventilation helps too. I use a terracotta potta. Happy growing!
