Yarrow. Native to much (all?) of the US and Canada.

Yarrow. A lovely native (or nativized depending on your source) plant with a long history of use for medicine, fantastic for pollinators like butterflies, hoverflies and especially big fat bumble bees who can rest on top of the flowers while collecting nectar.

  3. Yarrow it can be very hardy as a garden plant. I got some $5 pint sized pot of a red colored cultivar this spring and it grew so big I cut it down multiple times and it just regrows quickly and keeps going. It’s still going after multiple frosts I think it will tolerate down to low 20s.

Yarrow is conserved a medical herb and it is a great plant for attracting beneficial insects to your yard. Not just pollinators, but also parasitic wasps.
