So my grandma visited me and saw how many plants I have, and she asked me for some. I don’t have a problem with sharing them, especially with family, but she doesn’t listen to me because she says she knows better since she is older 🤷🏻‍♀️. I told her many times that the plants I gave her (the monstera in the photo, one Alocasia Polly, one Alocasia Dragon Breath, one big piece of Euphorbia ingens, a variegated Monstera adansonii, and some others) are not meant to stay outside in the cold (5°C / 41°F), but she left them in the car the whole day 🤦🏻‍♀️.
Do you think they’re going to be okay?
I feel like I just cut them and threw them directly in the trash.

I think they’ll be fine based off the pics

They look okay, it would have been worse if they were outside in summer in full sun
    Btw beautiful plants!🌱

  3. Are these the current pictures? Usually cold damage shows up as drooping, mushy looking leaves and darkening. Any cold damaged bits will die off, but if there’s any parts that aren’t affected, they should be okay and should recover

If the roots were not damaged they can recover, but it is hard to make any speculation without seeing the plants. I would suspect that all leaves will have been damaged and will die and drop. I would take them back to give them proper care and hope for the best. And I wouldn’t give her any other plants. I mean if she won’t respect them and their needs (unless she forgot they were in the car and is afraid to admit it), she doesn’t really appear to be a worthy plant parent., family or otherwise, old or young!
