I've got this apple tree in my back garden. It was very overgrown and I did my first big renovation pruning last year. It did great and having had no viable fruit our first year did great. I'm wanting to do another big prune come January when the leaves all fall but I wondered what people thought about taking off the lower branch I think it'd make the profile of the tree much nicer but is it too big to cut? And if I do cut it should I be conservative with pruning the rest of the tree?
