that the peers were in, the wall ties are in, the foundations are in. It’s ready to fly the middle bit in then. Let’s get it done. Little four to one mix soft sand and cement and let’s get them down. Red stocks straight from Premier Reclaimed Bricks. Oh, they’re beautiful today. But first things first, let’s get that invoice sent over. Go on, lad. Go and get straight over there. And we carry on. Now what we’re doing, we’re going to whack them in and then take all the mortar out cuz I’m going to do the pointing on a different day. So the client wanted a creamy color for the finish of the pointing. So we’re going to be buying some white cement, bit of lime, of course, weather struck finish. Oh, she’s going to look unbelievable, Jeff. So we’re originally going to do 14 courses on the pier and then we’re doing seven courses on the wall, but it didn’t look high enough. So I whacked another one on the pier and another one on the wall and filled her up with concrete. And then she was ready for a nice clean up. One man on a hose, one man on a broom and there she is all done and dusted. All ready for the copings of peer caps and appointing. Hope you enjoyed it,

  1. Nice job mate ! I used white cement with some course Oxford yellows, to build a patio wall and steps, I’m not a brickie but i had a crack anyway, took me two f*****g weeks but turned out a tidy little job ! 😂

  2. 4 and 1 mix ? lads please educate yourselves on mortar ratios and flush up those joints instead of leaving the wall hollow. Tip : Don't straddle the wall it's a bad habit to get into, you can't do it on a scaffold. Keep laying keep learning. cheers.
