Monadenium/euphorbia ritchie arrived with these two guys broken off. Should I do the usual wait for a ~week for the callous to form > brush the base with hormone gel > pot in 80/20 gritty/organic mix > bottom water? First time attempting to grow these from accidental cuttings, any advice would be appreciated TIA!

So these guys should root pretty easily. Your methods sound good.
I am lazy, so I just stick pups and cuttings into dry substrate without letting them dry or any hormone. Pretty good success rates so far, so I don’t bother with all the “proper” steps.

You can see from this picture that they push air roots in the right environment, so you should be able to root them fairly easily…cloning gel would probably help as well.
