    Super cool! I bet that Myrmecophila is fantastic. The genus is named Myrmeco after their symbiosis with ants. Those big canes have hollow spaces inside for the ants to live, and in exchange the ants protect the orchid from predators and feed on the sap.

    I bet if you go on iNaturalist and check the location you were in, you can photos of these exact plants in flower.
