I suggest cutting it down, using a herbicide on the trunk. Bagging and disposing of the branches inclosed in trash bags.
Read about the plant before you go further. The seeds germinate very easily and are spread by birds as well.
You do not want that plant anywhere in the state of Florida.

I had anaphylaxis to this tree when I was 10 as we had a massive bush of it across the road that myself and my cousins played in regularly. It was one of the worst experiences. My face swelled up so bad my skin split. I remember my face was so red and swollen my eyes started to look squint and get covered by the puffiness.
We were at Walmart or something and a lady was staring at me. A tear rolled down my cheek across my split skin. It hurt and sucked badly. Eventually one of my parents decided to act. I had to go to Emergency and get adrenaline shot into one of my butt cheeks which resolved it.
If you are going to handle it wear gloves, long sleeve and a mask incase you have an allergy. Reconsider burning it as well.
