My friend and i both made one of these. But after a week both our isopod populations died out. However all the other critters inside are still up to their regular business several days later.
We added a draining layer of stones, window creen mesh, substrate layer made of charcoal and spongy texture like bark. And we took the rest from a local forest nearby.
Our theory is either a humidity problem or subtrate problem. But we're honestly not sure.

Isopods will usually suffocate in enclosures like this unless they are very small species.
