Join University of Illinois Extension volunteers for an afternoon of inspiration, learning, and community at the Master Gardener Open House.

The open house hosted by the Macon County Master Gardeners will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 13 in the Children’s Auditorium at the Decatur Public Library, 130 N. Franklin St. Participants will enjoy hands-on workshops, have an opportunity to explore the demonstration gardens, and learn more about the Master Gardener volunteer program.

Mini Workshop Schedule:
4:30 PM: Houseplant Propagation
5 PM: Growing Microgreens
5:30 PM: Winter Seed Sowing

“Whether you’re curious about gardening, looking to grow your skills, or thinking about becoming a Master Gardener volunteer, this is the perfect chance to learn, connect, and be inspired,” says Horticulture Program Coordinator Whitney Allison.

There is no fee to attend the open house, but advance registration is requested at go.illinois.edu/MGOpenHouse. Walk-ins will also be welcome.

University of Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please call 217-877-6042. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your access needs.
